Inclusion-youth wearing blind folds and playing a game.

Think about this, you close your eyes and instantly step into a world where every sound, every image, every connection fades into silence or darkness. (take your time and be in this moment), Now imagine being told directly or indirectly that your voice doesn’t belong, that your contributions do not matter, that your humanity is too inconvenient or too invisible to recognize, inclusion becomes a foreign word that others use just to push programs and never truly practiced. Now you’re part of the minority group, what’s next?

This is the reality for too many blind and deaf individuals today. Not because they lack brilliance or creativity but because the world around them has built walls instead of bridges.

At countless meetings, fellowships, and trainings, blind and deaf individuals are rarely in the room. When they are, it’s often only to check a box. That is not inclusion.

Inclusion means more than presence. It means equal opportunity to lead, to grow, to thrive. It means making spaces accessible, welcoming, and ready for every voice and vision. Anything less is exclusion in disguise.

Disability is not distant. A single accident, diagnosis, or the process of aging can change everything in an instant.

Building inclusive spaces is not charity, it’s preparation for the future we all share. When systems are designed for those most marginalized, everyone benefits. We seldom think that we are immune to disability and most of our time we do not give a second look at someone with a disability. Some feel it is offensive to start a conversation with the disabled, some do not even know how to start, but they are just people like us and we can just make systems more and more inclusive.

This work is not about pity. It is about power, dignity, and joy. It is about rewriting the story from limitation to liberation

Dear reader, you already know that barriers fall when communities act. Voices rise when they are amplified. Change happens when inclusion is more than words on paper.

Your support strengthens programs that expand access, uplift disabled voices, and create spaces where everyone has the chance to thrive.

We are not doing this to check a box. Remember this word INCLUSION, because everyone deserves a chance in life, let us all make sure that no-one is left out.

Be the reason someone feels seen.

Be the reason someone feels heard.

Be the reason someone feels limitless.

In unity, inclusion becomes action and barriers are broken.
