Ambassador Spotlight: Violet Muchindu : Inspiring Youth in Livingstone Zambia

 Violet Muchindu

We are proud to shine a light on the work of our ambassadors, young leaders who are making a real difference in their communities. Today, we celebrate the story of Violet Muchindu, whose recent work in Livingstone, Zambia, shows the power of African leadership in action.

Her Visit to Linda Community Center

Violet visited the Linda Community Center in Livingstone, where she engaged with children and youth, encouraging them to dream big and believe in their potential. She spent time listening to their stories, learning about their challenges, and sharing words of hope. By connecting with them on a personal level, Violet showed the importance of leadership that is not only about action but also about compassion. Her visit left many of the young people feeling motivated, valued, and ready to take on new opportunities.

Creative Project with Destination Livingstone Youths

On her second visit, Violet worked side by side with Destination Livingstone Youths to paint murals on the walls of the community center. These paintings carried powerful messages about human-elephant coexistence and safety, reminding the community that harmony between people and wildlife is key to sustainable living.

Inspiring Others to Continue the Work

Violet’s leadership sparked something lasting. The local youth she worked with are continuing the project, finishing what she started and carrying forward her vision.

Why Violet’s Story Matters

Violet’s story is a reminder of what African leadership looks like: creative, caring, and committed to change that lasts. Her work reflects the mission of Tyrone Havnar Foundation: building leaders who leave their mark on society.
