We exist to build young people of all abilities with much emphasis on the blind and deaf who are grounded, future-ready, and equipped to drive transformation in their communities and beyond.

Our work draws deeply from ancient African wisdom, particularly the legacy of Egyptian civilization, a heritage of leadership, invention, architecture, governance, astronomy, and philosophy that shaped the course of humanity. Too often forgotten, this foundation reminds young Africans that their history is not defined by hardship alone, but by brilliance, order, creativity, and the courage to imagine what does not yet exist.

We combine this timeless leadership wisdom with the tools of the future, scientific thinking, data-driven innovation, and responsible AI. This fusion ensures that our leaders are ethical, resilient, and capable of navigating a fast-changing technological world, while carrying forward the greatness that has always been part of Africa’s story.

Vision and Mission

Tyrone Havnar Foundation Vision and Mission

Origins and Transformation Journey

Our story began in 2021 when the founder was mentored by an extraordinary blind leader named Sabriye in India. That experience revealed the strength of resilience, dignity and community beyond limitations.

From 2022 to 2024, The Great African Exposure Visit took us across seven African countries to study the barriers faced by youth of all abilities in accessing education and leadership development. Guided by deaf students, we launched Lead Without Limits cohort, a program that embodies inclusion, empathy, and bold imagination.

This journey taught us that leadership must evolve: must be inclusive, ethical and evidence-based. It inspired us to embrace mentorship, heritage and also the scientific method, digital innovation and responsible AI as drivers of the next generation of leaders

Our programs are symbolic, experiential and deeply immersive. From online mentorships to in-person fellowships, from programs for the deaf and blind, ambassador global network to gamified civic challenges, everything we do is shaped by the realities young people face, and the wisdom they already carry. We infuse leadership with meaning, ethics, technology and cultural power.

Participants undergo transformation, They lead with purpose, clarity and a sense of rooted African identity. Our approach blends mentorship, storytelling, digital innovation, public accountability, and ancient African leadership symbols with results that show in how our leaders walk, talk, build and rise.

Our Approach

We design programs that are symbolic, experiential and deeply immersive. Every fellowship, mentorship, or civic challenge is:

  1. Inclusive by design- accessible to deaf, blind, and marginalized youth.
  2. Evidence-driven-applying research, data, and scientific thinking to real challenges.
  3. Tech-integrated-using gamification, digital platforms, AI and robotics responsibly.
  4. Culturally rooted-grounded in African identity and leadership heritage.
  5. Civic-minded- building public accountability and youth-driven governance.
